👨So, these are North American porcupines.
彼らはカナダヤマアラシです。
👨And they’re herbivores, meaning they only eat plants.
カナダヤマアラシは草食動物です。つまり、植物しか食べません。
👨If a predator tries to attack one and bites it or, um, makes contact with it, these quills will come right out of its skin and get right into the attacker.

👨Now he’s doing what sloths mainly do, which is sleep.
この子は今ナマケモノの通常モード、つまり睡眠中です。
👨But he doesn’t mind waking up for a snack. And so we could feed him something if you’d like.
でも、おやつのために起きるのは苦じゃないみたいなので、よければおやつをあげてみて。

👨Well, he eats this specialized zoological diet for sloths.
