👩First of all, I’m very impressed with the sheer scale of things here. Iroha has contributed considerably to Japan over the years, but not at this scale.

👩 I also love the positive atmosphere, how workers are not afraid to hold up the line with their mistakes.

👩It’s difficult to say with the limited exposure I’ve had today, but the number of monthly recalls seems like a lot.
今日の限られた見学時間では何とも言えませんが、毎月のリコール件数は多いように思います。
👩I worry Tokyo may have difficulty coming to terms with Dallas in terms of quality control.
品質管理の点で東京がダラスと折り合いをつけるのは難しいのではと心配になります。
👨OK. We used to aim for zero recalls, but they always happen — I think what matters is how you deal with them.
なるほど。私たちも昔はリコールゼロを目指していたけれど、リコールは必ず起こるものだから、それにどう対処するかが重要だと思いますね。
👩Mmm… Do your suppliers have other customers apart from Romano?
うーん…サプライヤーは、ロマーノ以外に顧客も持っているのでしょうか？
👨Well, not really…but we’re fine, as long as they meet our quality needs.
いえ、持っていないですね…でも私たちの品質ニーズを満たしてくれればそれでいいのです。
👩Right. I mean, Iroha also has suppliers who rely on us, but we set goals for them so that they strive to improve their cost and quality performance.
なるほど。というのも、いろはにも、我々に頼っているサプライヤーがいるのですが、我々が目標を設定することで、サプライヤーにはコストと品質の向上に努めてもらっています。

🔑This seems to be the only available slot for everyone.
🔑The reason for this change is that I’ve been asked to attend a board meeting in Tokyo, and my schedule conflicts with this meeting.
